Volunteering at Wesley Woods
Our volunteers share their time, talents and experience all over the EMORY HEALTHCARE system.
In all of the Wesley Woods Center facilities, including Budd Terrace, the Geriatric Hospital, WW Towers and in the OutpatientClinic, volunteers lead efforts to strengthen the Wesley Woods community and enhance the lives of our residents and patients through recreational activities, visiting with patients, assisting with activities and providing general office assistance and work on special events.
Because Wesley Woods has both residents and patients, volunteers have unusual options for contributing that might not be available at other healthcare facilities. Links providing example volunteer opportunities avialable at the different facilities at Wesley Woods Center are below. If you have a volunteer idea not listed below, contact Adelina Wasser at 404-728-6382.

Volunteer Groups: In addition to the individuals who volunteer, church groups, community groups and corporate groups volunteer their services on the campus. The Junior League, for example, sponsors residence activities and provides services all over the campus. Local companies send in volunteers to assist with campus beautification projects. During the summer months, our VOLUNTEEN program welcomes youth, 14 to 17 years of age who wish to learn and make a contribution to our geriatric population. Most continue to volunteer through out the year.
