Budd Terrace Sub-acute Care

Many patients who are hospitalized for a medical problem such as a hip or knee replacement, a serious infection, a wound that is slow to heal, or a stroke, reach a point in their treatment when they no longer need the services of an acute-care hospital - but they still need some form of daily nursing care and therapy that would be difficult to get if they returned home. When that happens, physicians or discharge planners often refer patients to Budd Terrace for short-term, sub-acute care. Services available include skilled nursing care; physical, occupational, and speech therapy; and wound care. Whenever possible, sub-acute care residents are encouraged to eat in the dining room and participate in group activities.
