Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital

A Special Place for Surgery:
Fulfilling our mission to meet the increasing demand for highly specialized orthopaedics and spine care, Emory Healthcare is proud to launch its newest hospital — Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital — the first university-affiliated surgical facility of its kind in the state of Georgia. Situated in a six-story building at the intersection of I-85 and Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker, Georgia, the facility is staffed by full-time Emory physicians with the most advanced experience in orthopaedics and spine research, development and surgical procedures.
Performing some of the most advanced orthopaedics and spine operations in the world using state-of-the-art technology, some available only at this facility, Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital steps it up a notch and applies that same premium care to our patients’ need for comfort.
Patient- and family-centered care that sets the standard across the country
When planning for this hospital, doctors, nurses and patients presented their wish lists, and we worked tirelessly to bring our patients the care they deserve. The hospital has been completely renovated to provide patients with access to exceptional service and the most advanced, sophisticated technology in a patient- and family friendly environment. Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital offers a comprehensive approach to patient and family care:
- Patients and families are involved in medical decisions
- New culture and philosophy centers every decision around what is best and most helpful for the patient and family
- All patients stay in specially-designed private suites with sleeping accommodations for a guest; or family suites, so more than one family member can be part of the healing process.
- We offer 24-hour visitation for patient-approved friends and family and room service featuring full course meals or à la carte items can be ordered anytime and delivered within 45 minutes to the patient’s bedside.
Benefits of a Dedicated Orthopaedics and Spine facility:
- A dedicated facility is proven to be more efficient and results in better outcomes than general hospitals. By concentrating all surgical services at one location, Emory physicians and staff can focus on the special needs of the orthopaedic patient population, which translates to quicker recovery times, increased safety, and better patient satisfaction.
- An opportunity to combine the efficiency of a dedicated hospital with the expertise and sophistication of a university hospital system. This unique and innovative concept offers patients a higher level of specialized care with all the attributes of a major university medical center: research, technology and a seamless link to other sub-specialists located at other Emory hospitals.
