Lung Cancer Awareness Month: News on Lung CT & Upcoming Lung Cancer Web Chat

Lung Cancer AwarenessMore people in the U.S. die from lung cancer than any other type of cancer. Lung cancer is responsible for approximately 30% of cancer deaths in the United States. In fact, it’s actually the cause of more deaths than breast cancer, colon cancer and prostate cancer combined. November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month and we’d like to share with you some important information and tips for how you can lower your lung cancer risk. As an added bonus, we're hosting a free web chat so you can get all of your lung cancer questions answered Thursday, November 17th.

A Mother-Daughter Transplant Story - Angie Dudley, Bakerella

Kidney Transplant Patient Story - Angie DudleyThere are many things a mother can pass along to her daughter, but it takes a unique generosity—not genes—for a mother to give her daughter a kidney. Angie Dudley, of Bakerella and cake pops fame, received her second kidney transplant from none other than her own mother, Sandra Cunningham this summer. Although this is not Angie’s first transplant experience, she says her mother has, from day one, offered to be her organ donor. Share their touching story.

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Patient StorySpine surgery can now be performed with only a small incision, and Cynthia Burnett, one our patients, recently underwent minimally invasive spine surgery in 2010 at the age of 56, with excellent results.
