Vaughn-Jordan Healing Garden
As part of its commitment to treat the entire patient, body, mind, and spirit, Emory Winship Cancer Institute is planning to build a Healing Garden for patients, caregivers, staff, and the community as a whole. The garden will incorporate many of the recognized healing benefits of nature and will provide a pleasant diversion for patients undergoing treatment. Those awaiting appointments or test results will be given beepers allowing them to move outside the waiting areas to enjoy a beautiful non-clinical environment.
A special feature of the garden will be the commemorative patio with engraved stone pavers honoring or remembering friends and loved ones. Pavers are available in three different sizes at $100, $250, and $500 gift levels. They can be donated in honor of a special person, in memory of loved ones, or even in lieu of gifts for special occasions. For information on pavers call (404) 778-5175.
