Nurse reentry at a confident level.
The Emory Healthcare RN Reentry Program provides an educational experience to support the return to hospital nursing for the nurse who has not practiced in the acute care setting for four or more years. The program provides 100 hours of self study and classroom presentation and 200 hours of supervised clinical practice on a medical-surgical unit.
Participants are hired to work on a nursing unit at Emory Crawford Long Hospital, Emory University Hospital or Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital. Time is spent each week in the classroom and in supervised clinical practice with a nurse preceptor on the hiring unit. The program is offered twice annually in the spring and fall and is eight weeks in length.
