The Emory Division of Audiology is a multi-specialty facility that provides full-spectrum hearing services to both pediatric and adult patients. On-site hearing services are offered by audiologists trained to assess hearing disorders and determine appropriate treatment options for hearing loss. Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, Throat) physicians at Emory provide care for patients with hearing loss that can be corrected through medical intervention. When amplification is the appropriate treatment, state-of-the-art hearing aids are dispensed by the audiologists. There are devices to improve all types of hearing loss, from essentially normal hearing to profound deafness.
All services in the Division of Audiology are provided by certified licensed audiologists and include:
- Hearing evaluations for both adults and children
- Impedance testing (Tympanometry) for middle ear function
- Specialty testing: auditory brainstem response (ABR), electronystagmography (ENG), and otoacoustic emissions (OAE)
